The L3Harris HWDS solution provides the widest variety of aviation weather data services available from one reliable source, including high-resolution Geostationary Operational Environmental Satellite (GOES)-East and GOES-West satellite data.

HWDS provides weather and aeronautical data within the National Airspace System (NAS) via System Wide Information Management (SWIM). Originated in 1988 to support the FAA’s Meteorologist Weather Processor (MWP) program, HWDS acquires, identifies, mediates and disseminates reliable weather and aeronautical data to both FAA and non-FAA programs.
