The VIDA Transcoder supports design flexibility in providing best available audio quality to dispatcher and delivers a high-throughput, server-based design. The VIDA Transcoder supports P25 Phase 1 and Phase 2 as well as the ADPCM vocoder. It is key to supporting L3Harris’ Enhances Dynamic Dual Mode technology for customers requiring simultaneous support for Phase 1 and Phase 2 operations.
Options
In a VIDA Enterprise system, the VIDA Transcoder is deployed on its own server. In VIDA Foundation and VIDA Premier Systems it runs as an application on the VIDA Application Server (VAS).
